Overview
Mo & Krill’s motivation in the ritual is to achieve the respect and glory they believe is owed to them.[1][2]
Biography
Mo & Krill have been forced to live in the margins of society.[3] It’s unknown how the two met, but Krill mentions that their friendship was forged from "respect and certain death".[4] They live in a hovel.[5]
Mo is a mole man.[6][7] His full name is Maurice,[8] although Krill and 
Pocket also call him "Momo".[9][10] Mo is learning pottery and wants to audit pottery classes at Columbia College,[11][12] although it’s implied that he doesn’t know to use a pottery wheel.[13] Mo stinks.[14][15]
Krill’s species is unknown, although he does have fur.[16] Krill himself is an author and is writing a memoir about his and Mo’s adventures, which currently has 31 chapters.[17][11] Krill has bathed in sewer sludge.[18] Krill is also the one who casts 
Scorn in-game,[19] and he immobilizes enemies with his gun during 
Combo.[20]
Not much is known about The Tunnel Rats group. Some characters call Mo and Krill the Tunnel Rats themselves.[21][22] As members of The Tunnel Rats, Mo and Krill have smuggled a wide variety of objects in the New York tunnels, such as jewels, fine art and Ixian trinkets.[23] They also offer information for a "reasonable price",[24] and accept money to dig new underground tunnels.[25] Notable items of value they’ve sold include trinkets from 
Kelvin‘s Ixia expedition and knock-offs of 
Mina‘s dresses.[26][27] Krill knows someone looking to sell a first edition copy of "Don Quixote".[28]
Mo & Krill don’t pay taxes.[29] As criminals, they’re implied to be wanted by the law.[30]
Personality
Krill is polite and quick-witted. He treats people with respect and is often quick to propose deals to his allies in case they need something or are willing to sell something.[28][31][32] Krill doesn’t get shook when threatened by people like 
Yamato,[33] and is quick to defend himself and Mo if they get disrespected.[34][35] Despite being nice to people, Krill still values money and is willing to do business with horrible people like Mendoza to get it.[36][5]
Mo is silent. He knows how to speak, but doesn’t speak around people he’s unfamiliar with.[37][38]
Mo & Krill value their independence.[33] They have many connections in the criminal underground of New York, and maintain relationships with people like 
Wraith.[39][40] Most enemy heroes like Mo & Krill and are apologetic when fighting them.[41]
Mo & Krill don’t like the Friends of Humanity.[42] They also don’t like it when their names get mixed up.[43] Krill has visited the Baroness Hotel before and believes they have the best mimosas in Manhattan.[44]
Appearance
Mo & Krill’s models are mostly inherited from Neon Prime, minus Mo’s clothes. Krill’s clothes seem to have been mostly unchanged.
Mo is a giant white mole creature. He wears a dirty white tank top, fingerless gloves, and violet dungarees, which he chooses to tie around his waist instead of wearing properly. Mo has a large metal chain around his neck and wears a baker boy cap on his head, which obscures his eyes. He also has a bag attached to his dungaree on his back, which has a shovel tied to it.
Krill is a small bipedal creature with human-like hair, and rides on Mo’s back. Krill’s face resembles a gibbon. He wears a violet jumpsuit and small boots, as well as a bulletproof vest and a bandolier.

Pocket
Mo & Krill protected 
Pocket after Pocket’s assassination attempt, and they regard each other as family.[45][46][47] They love each other.[48]
Wraith
Mo & Krill are in 
Wraith’s weekly poker game and owe money to her.[49] If they’re on the same team, Wraith may say she called a favor to have them fighting on her side.[40] They regard each other as friends.[39][50]
Infernus
Infernus is friends with Mo & Krill.[51]
Mo & Krill are regular patrons at Jezebel’s, and offer to help Infernus prevent Jezebel’s from closing.[52]
Abrams
Mo & Krill are friends with 
Abrams, and play at Wraith’s weekly poker games together.[53] Abrams has worked with Mo & Krill in the past.[54]
Abrams owes Mo & Krill $50 from their last card game together.[49]
Celeste
Celeste is close friends with Mo & Krill.[55]
While on opposing teams, Celeste says people like her and Mo were supposed to stick together.[56] Also, Mo wants to cry if he kills Celeste.[57]
Krill tells Celeste that she doesn’t need to spend her life hiding in a circus, likely meaning that they knew she was secretly a unicorn before the ritual.[58]
Bebop
Mo & Krill watch and bet on 
Bebop’s fights in the Bear Pit.[59] They know Ms. Shelly and have tried to help her.[60]
Silver
Mo & Krill have worked with 
Silver in the past and have a good working relationship with her.[61]
While on the other team, Krill expresses concern over "how desperate" Silver had gotten and wishes they could’ve helped her.[62]
Mendoza
Mendoza was a "good" client of Mo & Krill before 
Ivy ran him out of town.[36]
Paige
Paige likes Mo & Krill and wants to be their friend.[63] Krill mentions that they once planned to start a book club together.[64]
Vyper
Vyper really likes Mo & Krill.[65] They don’t like her.[66]

While they currently do not make an appearance in Holliday‘s visual novel, Mo & Krill do have a conversation with Holliday in the files that’s codenamed to match her visual novel, teasing that they may make an appearance. In the conversation, Krill teases Holliday about the rumor that she’s sleeping with Captain Murphy, a rumor that was spread by the NYPD’s receptionist in Chapter 2a.[89]
