Overview

The Baroness Hotel is located on Broadway in the Cursed Apple, as well as being used for The Doorman‘s ultimate. The hotel is described by The Doorman as "the finest luxuries this plane can offer"^[1], although Lady Geist believes that the Baroness’ standards "went to hell".^[2]

The luxuries of the Baroness include bottomless mimosas,^[3] an in-house tailor,^[4] Egyptian cotton sheets,^[5] a sauna,^[5] spa days^[6] and brunches.^[7]

The Doorman has worked at the Baroness since its inception.^[8]

Mirage and Nashala are currently guests at the Baroness.^[9][10] Carlos and Maria Arroyo planned a date night at the hotel.^[11] Ms. Shelly has a brunch scheduled at the Baroness.^[12]

The Baroness used to be known as "the most haunted hotel in America", but has lost the title after the Troubadour‘s actions in Macomb. Now it is only the most haunted hotel in the tri-state area.^[13]

At some point, the Baroness required the services of the Baxter Society.^[13]

Other known workers of the Baroness are Jacques,^[14] and Francis.^[15]

Gameplay

In-game, the Baroness can be found next to the Archmother‘s blue Guardian. It has two Denizen spawn rooms:

• A room with 3 small denizens.
• A room with 2 medium denizens and a Sinners Sacrifice machine.

The Doorman’s ultimate ability Hotel Guest sends an enemy to a supernatural hallway in the Baroness, which they need to escape from.

Trivia

• The Baroness’ design is based on the Plaza Hotel in New York.

• There is a real-life Baroness Hotel in Seattle, WA, close to Valve’s office in Bellevue.

• Apollo,^[16] Calico,^[17] Ivy,^[18] Krill,^[19] Lady Geist,^[2] Mirage,^[9] and Wraith^[20] and have stayed at the Baroness before. Silver and Vyper have also stayed at the Baroness before, but were kicked out.^[21][22] Victor has been invited to the Baroness.^[4]

• Paradox is trying, and failing, to gain access to the Baroness.^[23]

• There is a brunch going on at the Baroness during the ritual.^[7] While inside the Baroness, you can hear distant talking and plates clinking.^[24]

• A piano medley can be heard while inside the Baroness.^[25]

• The area used for Hotel Guest (The Doorman’s ultimate) is located underneath the map.
