Sinner’s Sacrifice machines yield Haunted
Souls and
permanent buffs when struck with melee. They first spawn at 8:00. A solitary machine respawns five minutes after destruction; a hybrid camp respawns after all its machines and
Haunts are cleared.
Crates and
Buff Containers at a site are not part of that clearance requirement. The map icon marks the site, not necessarily the machine itself.
There are 15 machines at 11 sites: six solitary sites, two camps with one machine and two Medium
Haunts, two camps with two machines and one Medium
Haunt, and one site with three machines. The Chinatown Bell Tower between blue and green on the Hidden King’s side has three; striking them or nearby breakables rings a bell audible to everyone. The Sunken Plaza between blue and yellow on the Archmother’s side has two machine sites and two
Haunt camps; fog obscures sight and sound and slowly drains
stamina.
Interaction and jackpot
A machine has 500
health and accepts melee attacks only: light hits deal 50
damage and heavy hits 100. During Jackpot mode both deal 100. It retaliates for 80
damage per hit before Jackpot mode, for 320–640 total depending on the mixture of hits. Four heavy or eight light hits complete it. The source says the two methods normally take virtually the same time;
Billy’s faster light-melee recovery is an exception. Lights show
health: the first hit illuminates them, subsequent light and heavy hits extinguish one or two from right to left, and the last two go out together.
After 300
damage, the machine selects a slow jackpot cycle with 60% probability or a fast one with 40%; steady white lights indicate slow, blinking orange/red fast. After 400
damage it enters the timing game: lights illuminate left to right with eight sound cues. Strike when all are lit for a jackpot. A heavy finishing hit gives four random
permanent buffs, a light hit one; missing gives only the remaining
souls. The machine does not retaliate in Jackpot mode.
Melee-
damage
abilities such as
Puddle Punch and
Leaping Slash do not work.
Baba’s
Granny Long Legs heavy-melee area
damage does work despite being
spirit damage, allowing simultaneous farming.
Rem’s
Lil Helpers can operate a machine and always secure the equivalent of a heavy jackpot; they wait for the final flashing bulbs, and a player’s hit interrupts them and sends them back.
Pocket’s
Barrage stacks can increase
damage per hit, which the source identifies as a likely bug.
Soul payout
The internal value starts at 310
souls and rises by 3.35 per minute from match start, even though machines first appear at eight minutes. A light hit pays the rounded total divided by 20; a heavy hit pays the rounded total divided by 10. The final hit pays the rounded half-value plus one heavy-hit payout. The intended split is half through hits and half on destruction, but per-hit rounding can change the total slightly. If several players contribute, later hits attempt to distribute the payout evenly among them.

Each standard type has a 10% drop rate;
Health has 20%,
Move Speed and
Ability Range 5% each. A pseudo-random distribution reduces the chance of repeated types and considers buffs received from all sources.
The source’s recent history records retaliation rising from 60 to 80 on November 21, 2025, a 10% bounty reduction on December 16, 2025, and new resist, range and
movement buffs and variable jackpot timing on September 29, 2026. Early versions were Vaults without a jackpot; the current
minimap icon retains that design.
