Permanent Buffs, also called Golden Statue Buffs, are randomly selected stat increases that last for the rest of the match, including through death. Their strength depends on when they are received: level 1 before 10 minutes, level 2 from 10 minutes and level 3 from 30 minutes. Buff Container bonuses can be inspected by hovering over the relevant Weapon, Spirit or Vitality statistic in the lower-left UI.

Values and distribution

Stat Level 1 (0 min) Level 2 (10 min) Level 3 (30 min)
Fire Rate +1.5% +2% +2.5%
Max Ammo +3% +5% +7%
Cooldown Reduction +0.5% +0.75% +1%
Weapon Damage +3% +4% +6%
Max Health +15 +20 +30
Spirit Power +2 +3 +4
Bullet Resist +0.5% +0.75% +1%
Spirit Resist +0.5% +0.75% +1%
Move Speed +0.1 m/s +0.2 m/s +0.3 m/s
Ability Range +0.25% +0.5% +0.75%

Each standard type has a 10% nominal drop rate; Health has 20%, and Move Speed and Ability Range 5% each. A pseudo-random distribution reduces the chance of repeating a buff and considers buffs received from all sources. For Golden Statues it counts buffs spawned by the player’s broken statues even when left uncollected, so leaving a drop behind does not manipulate the distribution.

Source Buffs granted

Appearance

The City Never Sleeps update redesigned Golden Statues as book or newspaper vending machines and gave the ten pickups individual document models. Bullet Resist resembles an armor encyclopedia; Weapon Damage a newspaper; Cooldown Reduction a history magazine; Fire Rate apparently a bloodied mystery novel; Health a healthcare pamphlet; Move Speed a signed athlete’s trading card; Spirit Power a thick Sabbat tome, possibly a spellbook; Ability Range a New York travel map; Spirit Resist a comic; and Max Ammo a field guide.
