Momentum conservation

Zipline Momentum Conservation (ZMC) uses the air-drag change from crouch-dismounting a transit line. Hold jump to attach, then press crouch at any point during the ascent to leave the line and regain air control. It costs no stamina. The normal air-drag friction coefficient is 0.2; dismounting sets it to 0 for two seconds, then 0.25. Any hero can use it. Dynamo, Ivy, Lash, Pocket, Grey Talon, Vindicta, Warden and Yamato can exploit the retained momentum during abilities with cast times.

Small Zip Jump

After dismounting with crouch, jump within 0.14 seconds (nine ticks) to make a regular jump without losing the dismount’s lack of air drag. This costs no stamina and adds height to ZMC routes.

Zip Dash

Crouch off the line, then dash or strafe dash. The dismount is free, but the dash costs one stamina bar. With air drag removed and the usual end-of-dash slowdown absent, the dash travels faster and farther. Stamina Mastery allows two quick strafe dashes, adding speed and distance. This can speed up opening lane routes; a following wall jump can extend travel because its air drag is also suppressed.

Zip Launch

Attaching accelerates a hero toward the line. One tick before the riding animation starts, the game applies a large snap velocity. Canceling on that exact tick with crouch transfers it into free movement. This one-tick input cannot be buffered and costs no stamina; a failed attempt costs time but still permits a Zip Dash or ZMC.

Position and angle matter: approach corners or bends perpendicularly for maximum speed. The source reports approximately 1,300–5,900 units/s. A launch can be performed reliably near the end of a line; consecutive launches can rotate quickly between lanes or initiate a fight.
