Tunnels are shortcut passages connecting parts of the map. Some entrances are vents that only certain heroes can enter.
Crates and
Buff Containers spawn inside vent tunnels; their models are smaller than those outside. Cockroaches inside can be killed for one soul.
Vent access
Vent access is blocked while carrying the
Soul Urn or in combat: dealing or taking
damage starts a four-second buffer, but
damage to a barrier does not count. An entrance grille indicates that access is unavailable to players within 10 m.
Calico can enter as
Ava.
Mo & Krill can crouch beside the vent (Ctrl by default) or use
Burrow.
Rat King can crouch beside it.
Rem can enter while
crouching.
Mo & Krill and
Rat King have a short delay when entering by
crouching and cannot enter by
sliding.
Street Brawl’s
Shrink Ray lets any hero enter, although that mode uses only one lane.
Grey Talon’s
Guided Owl can enter at the right angle without hitting walls, and can pass through the gap above the fence in the subway room near the
Mid-Boss.
Inside tunnels,
move speed gains 50%; sprint speed is not multiplied by this bonus. If an ability used for entry expires inside,
Mo & Krill immediately leave
Burrow at a nearby walkable location inside or outside.
Calico can transform and be pushed to the nearest walkable area; if she does not, she remains
Ava and rapidly takes
damage until exiting, when she transforms back.
A hero without vent access can become stuck by clipping through geometry. The main-menu Unstick button can resolve this; it is unavailable to heroes able to leave the tunnels themselves.
