The Curiosity Shop lets heroes spend souls on items that improve stats, add passive effects, or grant active abilities. Items are divided into Weapon, Vitality and Spirit categories. Heroes have developer-provided default builds organized by game stage; players can also create and share builds.

Buying, selling and equipping

The four price tiers are 800, 1,600, 3,200 and 6,400 souls. An item with components can be bought outright or upgraded from its components by paying the remaining price. Normally an item sells for half the souls spent; the full amount is refunded if the player has not left the shop area since purchasing it.

Buying an item also provides the category’s shop bonus: Weapon Damage for Weapon, Health for Vitality, and Spirit Power for Spirit. Some items require the player to imbue one ability with an additional bonus; for example, Surge of Power gives the selected ability extra Spirit Power.

Active items occupy both a normal item slot and one of four active-item slots. A player with four active items cannot buy another until one is sold, even if other item slots are open.

Locations

  • Base: the purchase radius covers the spawn room. Only the owning team can buy there.
  • Side shops: one serves each lane, but permanently closes when that lane’s Guardian is destroyed. Normally only the owning team can buy there. Rem can send Lil Helpers to buy queued items at either team’s non-base shops.
  • Secret shops: each side has one underground, reached by stairs or an open manhole between Broadway and the outside lanes. Both teams can buy from either shop. From a team’s perspective, its own secret shop is on the right: Greenwich for Hidden King, York for Archmother.

A shop icon marks locations on the minimap. At a normal shop, stand in the small yellow rectangle and use the shop key. The item catalogues are attributed in the game’s lore to Fairfax Industries, Mystic Pharmaceutical Stores and the Curiosity Catalog.

Before the October 2, 2025 update, secret shops temporarily closed when both teams were nearby. Before the September 29, 2026 map overhaul, tracks ran from the non-base shops toward the bases; most still use a wheeled shop model.
