Glass, steel and stone… Order and power where once there was none… The Archmother has always guided the founders’ hands, and now it is time for them to welcome her home.

The Archmother is a Patron, as well as the name of her Team. Her followers are The Guided Hand. ^[1] The Hidden King is her rival.

The Archmother’s herald is voiced by Debra Wilson.^[2]

Overview

The Archmother wears a broken mask that resembles the head of the Statue of Liberty, her form bound to a crystalline effigy burning with blue flames. She’s characterized by the color blue. Her base is a museum with a Neoclassic aesthetic. Her side of the map has upper-class white brick buildings and is labeled "Uptown".

The Archmother does not speak to the heroes directly. Instead, a herald speaks on her behalf.^[3][4]

Akin to the Hidden King, the Archmother’s goals are unknown. According to The Doorman, the Archmother has wanted to be summoned for "centuries".^[5] Warden and his family believe the Patrons will "herald the end of humanity" if left unchecked.^[6] It’s implied that the Archmother wants to "usher in her new era".^[7][8]

The Doorman refers to the Archmother as City Mother.^[9] The bank behind Archmother’s Yellow Walker is called "City Mother Bank".

The Hidden King’s herald calls the Archmother a "tyrant".^[10]

Trivia

• The Archmother was originally named The Sapphire Flame prior to the Old Gods, New Blood update. She also referred to herself as Whisper in the Wind and Ambition’s Spark in an unused voice line.^[11] This is referenced in a Warden unselect line.^[12]
