Deadlock splits the Rejuvenator into three crystals and expands the Mid-Boss arena
The redesigned objective spreads its rewards around a larger pit with more cover.
The October 30 update replaces the single central
Rejuvenator crystal with three crystals distributed around the
Mid-Boss pit. Each takes one Heavy Melee to break and grants one
Rejuvenator to the team that claims it. The total reward remains three
Rejuvenators per boss kill.
The patch notes reproduced by SteamDB also increase the crystal drop delay from 6 to 7.5 seconds. Each crystal now provides the full heal and awards its breaker a soul bounty of 500, increasing by 9 per minute.
The boss and arena change together
Mid-Boss has 20% more
health, with its
health growth per minute also increased by 20%. Resistance reduction is half as effective against it. The roar occurs at 25%
health rather than 50%, while the boss bounty falls from 3,000 plus 50 per minute to 1,500 plus 25 per minute.
The arena is larger and has additional cover. Frogtech’s map comparisons provide a visual reference for the geometry changes.
Instead of contesting one central crystal, teams now face three claim points. That creates the possibility of splitting the reward between opposing teams. Whether spreading out or concentrating on one crystal works better will depend on the fight; the patch notes alone cannot establish a winning formation.
