Halloween cauldrons bring candy and Sugar Rush to Deadlock until November 2

The seasonal event adds candy to collect and save for a temporary boost.

Deadlock’s Halloween event is running through November 2, 2026, with candy-filled cauldrons added in the October 30 update. The seasonal makeover also decorates the Hideout and streets of New York, while heroes wear masks.

According to Valve’s Halloween announcement, players can break a cauldron with a Heavy Melee attack to collect a piece of candy. The candy can be saved and consumed later for the temporary Sugar Rush buff.

How the candy mechanic works

The sequence is simple: find a cauldron during a match, break it with Heavy Melee, collect the candy and use it when needed. Picking it up and consuming it are separate steps, so the boost does not have to be spent where the cauldron was found.

The announcement does not specify a closing hour or time zone for November 2. Players should treat that as the published end date rather than assume the event lasts until midnight in their own region.

The same release contains substantial gameplay changes, including a redesigned Mid-Boss objective. Those changes are separate from the seasonal candy event; the Halloween deadline should not be read as an expiry date for the balance patch.
