Deadlock Wave Management: When to Push or Hold a Lane Push when you can safely send your troopers forward and use the resulting space for a specific action. Hold when staying closer to your side gives you a safer way to farm. Clear a threatening enemy wave when your immediate job is to protect a structure or free yourself to move; clearing does not mean […] Deadlock Rotations: When to Leave Your Lane and Help A rotation is a deliberate move from your current area to help somewhere else: protect a teammate, contest a fight, defend a structure or support an objective. Leave when you can arrive while your help still matters, have a useful job on arrival, and the likely gain is worth the farm and pressure you leave […] Deadlock Team Fights: Positioning, Targets, and Engagement Order Win a useful team fight by coordinating what happens after the first player commits. Before contact, check who can help and what you are fighting for. When an opening appears, call a reachable target, follow from a position where you can contribute, and reassess as enemies and allies move. Protect a threatened teammate or reset […] How to Play from Ahead or Behind in Deadlock When ahead, use your advantage to make a reachable objective safer to pressure, then stop before a scattered chase gives the enemy an opening. When behind, collect farm you can reach and leave safely, defend what you can, and look for a coordinated opportunity rather than forcing an even fight. In both cases, the next […] How to Review Your Deadlock Replays and Find Mistakes Choose one question, find a moment that answers it, and inspect the decision before its result. Advanced Gameplay Guides

These guides connect individual actions to the state of the lane, the team and the next objective. They cover wave management, rotations, team fights, playing ahead or behind, and replay analysis.

Move with a purpose

The wave management guide distinguishes pushing for a specific use of space, holding for safer farming, and clearing a wave that threatens a structure. A rotation is a deliberate move to help elsewhere; consider whether you can arrive in time and what farm or pressure you leave behind.

Coordinate fights and review decisions

Before an engagement, identify the objective, who can follow up and a target the team can reach. When ahead, turn an advantage into a reachable objective without overextending; when behind, look for safe resources and coordinated opportunities. Use replay analysis to revisit the information available at the time, rather than judging a decision only by its outcome.

For the systems behind these decisions, see beginner guides and map and objectives guides.
