A patch review turns a list of changes into a small set of questions about your hero and build. The available guide explains how to review a hero, item choices and upgrade path after an update.

Start with the notes

Read the full official notes and check their date. Identify changes affecting your hero, items, upgrade path and common opponents. For each change, ask what job that part of the build used to perform; a changed number does not automatically mean the whole plan must be replaced.

Test one hypothesis

Choose a specific adjustment to compare, then look at its effect in play before making further changes. If you use site statistics, make sure they cover the relevant patch and have enough matches to be useful.
