Read the sample before the rate

Where filters are available, compare the same rank and patch. Check how many matches support the reported rate, and remember that a result describes a group of matches rather than guaranteeing an outcome in yours. A small sample or a different selection of players can make comparisons misleading.

Turn a number into a decision

For a hero, ask whether the observed performance matches the role and situations you want to play. For an item, ask whether its effect solves the problem you face. Compare the result with hero guides and item guides, then test the idea rather than assuming the number explains every cause.
