About this page

Rank Distribution

See how ranked players and matches are distributed across Deadlock ranks and subranks in the selected patch. The figures describe the players and matches in this site's dataset; they should not be treated as a census of every Deadlock player.

Choose a patch and metric

Use the patch selector to choose the period you want to inspect. Switch between Players and Matches to view the distribution by each measure. Compare figures within the same selection: a player count and a match count describe different things, and a different patch can have a different sample and distribution.

In the snapshot updated October 28, 2026, the selected patch is Shh... This Won’t Hurt a Bit. The page shows 233,507 ranked players, 193,348 matches, a median rank of Sentinel III and 66 subranks. These numbers change with the underlying data and selection.

Read ranks, subranks and percentiles

The distribution breaks the displayed ranks into subranks I–VI. Find your rank and subrank to see the player and match counts, the share of the displayed population, and the percentile interval shown for that band. A share describes the size of that band; the percentile interval shows where the band sits in the ordered distribution. It is an interval for a subrank, not an exact percentile for an individual player.

For example, in the October 28 snapshot for the selected patch, Sentinel III shows 4,411 players, 3,500 matches, a 1.89% player share and a percentile interval of 49.7–51.6%. The median falls in that band. Read the patch and update date before comparing this example with the current display.

Explore individual ranks

The Ranks and Subranks section groups the numbers by rank, from Initiate through Eternus, and shows the six subranks within each group. Compare the total for a rank with the individual subrank values to see how its population is distributed. The displayed shares and percentiles apply to the selected dataset and should be interpreted alongside its date and patch.
