Nurse Harrow discussion highlights why Wretched Vapors needs follow-up healing

Players challenge an explanation of Harrow’s second ability, focusing on delayed damage and removing specters through healing.

Deadlock players are debating when Nurse Harrow’s second ability saves a teammate and when it leaves them facing dangerous delayed damage. The discussion began with a Reddit warning about using Wretched Vapors on allies under heavy fire.

Several replies challenge the explanation. Their central objection is that describing the ability as making an ally take extra damage blurs the distinction between its two phases.

What Specter Rush and Specter Crash do

In Tracklock’s October 22 breakdown, Wretched Vapors is described as a temporary boost followed by a crash. During Specter Rush, the target acts faster while incoming damage is deferred into specters.

Specter Crash slows the target’s actions, and any remaining specters return the deferred damage with additional damage. Incoming healing removes specters first, preventing their damage. That makes follow-up healing a central part of the ability’s use.

Players also consider what happens after the buff is applied: can Harrow keep healing the target, and can the ally escape incoming fire before the boost ends?

Tracklock’s description is dated October 22. Without testing in the current client, it does not establish today’s exact damage percentages or durations. The thread is useful context for the disagreement, but its numerical claims should not be treated as verified build advice.
